TfM Launch

Launch of the Charter – A Transport Forum

The public launch of Transport for Melbourne (TfM) and a draft Transport Charter occurred at a forum on 4 August 2016.  The forum was jointly organised by Transport for Melbourne and the RMIT Centre for Urban Research

Key note addresses were given by selected leaders and visionaries in the pursuit of improved transport policy and project outcomes.  A broad range of stakeholders were invited from State government, local government, community agencies, parallel transport and planning groups as well as individuals.

This included “Friends of Transport for MelbourFront page of Forumne”, being organisations or individuals who support the principles contained in the draft TfM charter.

There was an opportunity for questions and comments on TfM, the Charter and general public transport issues.  These questions, answers and comments will be taken on board by TfM in moving forward.  This joint forum between TfM and RMIT  together with the draft TfM  charter is the “kick-start” to future marketing strategies and campaigns for a better approach to public transport decision making.
